Business Roundtable and CoMPASS President John Castellani Urges Social Security Reform on Bloomberg Television
Bloomberg On The Markets
John Castellani: "We support [Social Security reform] for two basic reasons. "One, it's important to have a healthy and secure retirement for the millions of Americans who depend on it, and that's important for them, of course, and for the economy. But secondly, and equally as important, it's now time for the U.S. Congress to begin to address the burgeoning federal budget deficit. We now to bring that back into balance and we can't do it unless we reform entitlement programs, Social Security being one of the big three. So it's necessary at this time."

Americans Urge Congress to Fix Social Security in Letters to the Editor
Fix Social Security
"Support for change to Social Security is at an all time high nationwide, with some polling information showing over 60 percent of Americans in support of an overhaul. These people have paid attention to the news and read the facts."
"This is why I am writing in support of the Social Security plan currently in discussion in Washington. By creating personal lock boxes, the government will no longer be able to raid an account meant for one precise purpose, to give every hard-working American a comfortable retirement when they reach that time in their lives."

Control Your Investment
"I've been reading the letters to the editor concerning a fix to Social Security, and am writing to tell you that Social Security is in desperate need of repair. Support nationwide is building as Americans begin to see that Social Security may not be around as long as we would like to have it.
"I am a young Coloradan who is prepared to work hard to ensure that my personal and financial goals are met through my career. However, when I reach my 60s, I want to have peace of mind in knowing that I can live comfortably as a reward for the many years of dedication I put into my career.
"By fixing Social Security through creating personal Social Security lockboxes that are controlled by every American through investment, we not only build personal involvement into the system, but we also keep the government out of money that is meant to be saved, not spent."
